Pray the Phone Book!!

So, we were in worship class the other day, and aside from having to learn stuff that we will NEVER use in real life, we heard that some church staffs pray through their church directories every month. So, we were thinking, we should like be focused OUTSIDE the “club” of church, you know? So at OUR church, we pray through the PHONE BOOK. Here’s a sample of what we do, in case, you, like want to follow the HOLY SPIRIT, and be part of God’s MISSION in the World, you know?
So, here’s a sample:
“Dear
Heavenly Father, Precious Friend Jesus and
Amazing Holy Spirit, we just ask your blessings on the
Robert A. Anderson family on Garfield Street, the
Robert A. Anderson family on 34th Avenue South, the
Robert A. Anderson family on Louisiana Avenue. We
don’t really know what they need but you do, because
we know that you know, like, everything, so just bless
them the way they need blessing, ok? And Mighty, Holy
God of all creation, we just ask your blessings on all
the employees at Taco Bell #4, the Taco Bell #5 but,
God, we ask you to maybe consider smiting the
employees of Taco Bell #3 because Madison got
food poisoning there last week and they need, like, a
wake-up call on their hygiene, you know?”
So, like that’s all there is to it. If you are really filled with the Holy Spirit, you could like do this on your own, but it’s way better to do it with a group, you know, because then you can take turns reading the names and addresses.
