seriously disapproving of humor. Yes, I was funny once, but I recovered.
I am thankful that I am not funny like the unrighteous.

you dare to think the world or its people are funny? Where is
your dogma of human perfectibility? Have you learned nothing about the
decorum of defensiveness from your teachers?

And to make jokes about the "death mask!" My goodness, or more to the
point, your badness! Where did you get the idea to mock death? Have
you been reading that dangerous stuff in the New Testament? Has Luther
Seminary taught you about joy in heaven and the holy hilarity of God's
love?
At least
you don't make jokes about the president. There is nothing
funny about the president. Let's keep it that way at least until we
have a new president. Maybe that person will be funny.
